Natural Laundry Whitener Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hydrogen Peroxide (3%)
  • 1/2 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
  • 4-6 cups Hot Water

Optional

  • 1 tbsp Castile soap or mild detergent 
  • A few drops of lavender or tea tree essential oil for freshness and anti-fungal benefits

Instructions

  • In a large basin or bucket, combine all ingredients and stir to dissolve the baking soda.
  • Add your white clothes to the solution and fully submerge
  • Let soak for at least 4 hours—overnight works best for deeply stained items
  • Launder as usual with your regular detergent and hang in the sun to dry
