Strawberry Pretzel Rice Krispie Treats | Your New Go-To Dessert
These flavorful Strawberry Pretzel Rice Krispie bars are packed with flavor and crunch – enjoy this fun spin on your classic Rice Krispie treat!
A New Marshmallow Treat
When I go to make this recipe, all I can think about is “gorp” – you know, the concoction you made at day camp or on a school field trip. GORP stands for “good ol’ raisins and peanuts” but with one ingredient from everyone participating you end up with a delicious mix of cereal, chocolate chips, marshmallows, chips, you name it!
If you haven’t had the experience of eating gorp it’s essentially trail mix, like these rice krispie bars which are a delicious combination of dried strawberries, corn flakes, pretzels, and marshmallows – plus, they’re no-bake! So whether you and your kids are reminiscing on summer camp, you are looking for a great back-to-school snack, or you need a dish for your kids next activity meeting look no further!
Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and spray paper with cooking spray
Melt butter over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows and marshmallow creme; cook and stir until melted, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and salt
Add rice cereal, cornflakes, pretzels, and 1 1/2 cups strawberries to marshmallow mixture and stir to combine
Press mixture firmly into your pan using a either a spatula or my favorite trick- spray a piece of parchment paper with cooking spray; gently press the remaining strawberries and pretzels into the pan.
Let stand at least 4 hours before cutting. Using parchment, lift uncut bars from pan and cut into bars

Like a trail mix, this recipe is completely customizable which is why I love it! You can use freeze-dried blueberries instead, or completely switch up the flavor profile by swapping ingredients.

These treats can stay fresh for up to 5 days if you store in an airtight container at room temperature with parchment paper in between the layers.
Where is the best place to buy freeze-dried strawberries?
Your local grocery store should have a selection of freeze dried fruit, in my experience the prices range from $4 – $10 for a 2 oz package.
Do you need to chill Strawberry Pretzel Rice Krispie Bars before serving?
Nope! To keep the flavor and texture profile it’s best to let them cool and then store them at room temperature
